§ 1 BRO Foundation is an independent, non-profit, private foundation with offices in Oslo.
§ 2 The Founders of the BRO is Camphill Village Trust in Norway represented by Rolf Jacobsen and Norwegian Agriculture and Straw Building Association represented by Arild Berg.
§ 3 The Foundation's basic capital shall amount to NOK 100,000.
§ 4 The Foundation's mission is to promote environmental cooperation between Norway, Russia and Eastern Europe in a way that can help provide a future self-development.
BRO will undertake a practical and long-term support mainly targeted at disadvantaged groups in Russia and Eastern Europe.
BRO will promote sustainable building methods, practical teaching, as well as contributing
to academic and cultural exchange through, among other things, building travel.
BRO will build a network of experts and partners, implement projects and educational programs and develop models for mutual, project-based cooperation between east and west.
The Foundation does not intend to engage in commercial activities.
§ 5 The Foundation's income will be coverd by revenues from their own activities, as well as through contributions / donations from individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations and the public.
§ 6 The Foundation board consists of 4-6 persons. The Board elects its Chairman and constitutes itself. Directors and Chairman of the Board are elected for 2 year terms, with term
of office from 1 January until December 31. By the end of the periode the sitting Board selects new board members.
The Foundation signed by two directors jointly may authorize any board decisions. The Board may announce procuration. The Board may at any time revoke the drawing power of attorney and procuration.
§ 7 The foundation's daily operations are undertaken by a working group with a general manager with instructions from the Board.
§ 8 Within the limits provided in the Foundation Act, § 36, second lead, the foundation for a preparatory, advisory or decision-making body that is fully subject to the board's reversal
and instructional authority.
§ 9 Upon dissolution of the Foundation shall be the remaining equity allocated according to the foundation's purpose.
